Online fyraftensmøder 2026

Kompetencecenter for Amning udbyder i foråret 2026 tre online fyraftensmøder. På disse møder kan du høre ny spændende viden om amning fra tre internationale forskere.  

Programmet for møderne vil være cirka 45 minutters oplæg, 15 minutters spørgsmål til oplægsholderen og 15 minutters drøftelse af dagens emne. Møderne foregår på engelsk.

The National Ressource Center for Breastfeeding in Denmark invites you to three inspiring online evening sessions this spring, featuring internationally renowned experts who will share their research and practical perspectives on breastfeeding. The presentations will be in English.

Den glemte sans: Hvordan kan duftesansen bruges til at øge oplevelsen af amning for mor og barn?  

English: January 14 – The Forgotten Sense: How Smell Can Enhance the Breastfeeding Experience for Mother and Child. Speaker: Vivien Swanson, Professor of Psychology, UK.

Vivien Swanson er Professor of Health Psychology, University of Stirling, Scotland. 

Beskrivelse

The presentation will describe the current international position regarding breastfeeding initiation and maintenance, including previous research investigating the role of olfaction in communication between mother and infant. Vivien will give an overview of the rationale for our current research study, identifying practices which might promote or inhibit using the sense of smell to support breastfeeding. Finally, we will consider ways this information could be used to change current breastfeeding guidance.

English: March 17 – Intimate Partner Violence During the Breastfeeding Period. Speaker: Ida Gustavsson, Midwife, PhD Student, Sweden.

Ida Gustafsson er jordemoder og ph.d.-studerende, University of Borås, Sweden. 

Beskrivelse

Ida Gustafsson will tell about the phenomenon Intimate partner violence during the breastfeeding period. In her presentation, she will address the lived experience of exposedness and caring within this context, as experienced by both women and carers. She will also discuss the clinical implications that have emerged from her doctoral research.

Vigtige og modificerbare faktorer af betydning for en effektiv amning hos nyfødte
og 6-uger gamle spædbørn

English: April 15 – Key Modifiable Factors for Effective Breastfeeding in Newborns and 6‑Week‑Old Infants, plus Introduction to the LAT Screening Tool. Speaker: Anna Blair, PhD, USA.

Beskrivelse

This evidence-based presentation explores the latching behaviors associated with effective feeding. Although breastfeeding assessment elements arise from compelling expert opinion, they have generally not been subject to rigorous evaluation and therefore this study aimed to identify any elements of latching that are associated with effective feeding. Key findings for clinical practice were identified including evidence for modifiable pre-feeding, positioning and latching-on behaviors, which were significantly associated with effective breastfeeding. This presentation discusses the practical application to clinical practice.
